Cherub of the seventeenth century shattered in a popular revolt against the church (in Menorca island, Spain, when my grandmother was just a child).
They confuse the symbols with the art, as also happened with the legacy of the classical Greeks and Romans. Big loss! Personally, I hate the church, but I love his art. So, the past must not be destroyed, must be assimilated: changing ideology, saving Art. (sorry for my english) |
